The Send Message option in Client Communications is NOT secure messaging. DO NOT include any PHI when using that feature. |

The Send Message will present you with two options. Sending a text message intended to relay information with no response from the client is the option we're looking for in this case. ![]() |

Enter the message in the text field and verify the cell phone number to which you'd like to send the message. ![]() |
The client's cell phone number will populate automatically if one is listed. | |

Select a Number

The client and any Legal or Primary Caregiver & their phone number (if one is active in the client's chart) will be listed in this dropdown menu. ![]() |

Choosing Enter Manually will reveal a text field where you can enter a phone number that you need to send the message to but isn't listed in the client's chart. |

Because you aren't expecting a response, this will immediately be logged under History of Client Communications. ![]() |
