Children's Home and Community Services (HCT) is considered a higher level of care than traditional outpatient and case management.  HCT services provide intensive in-home services for the identified child and their family. The family is expected to participate in all aspects of treatment.

The Clinician and a Behavioral Health Professional work in conjunction as a therapeutic team to deliver services.  The clinician and BHP will often meet with the family multiple times a week for a minimum of 3 hours a week and an average of 6-8 hours a week and 3-6 months in duration.

    • MaineCare only
    • Child must display behaviors that warrant a higher level of care than outpatient services or be at risk of developing mental health concerns due to family/home stressors.
    • When referring, be very specific about the intensity, duration, and frequency of any and all behaviors, as well as articulating if outpatient has been attempted in the past is very important.
    • If the child is at risk of remover from home (does not have to be) please add this information into the referral.
