💡 Treatment Plan Signature Rule Change
The previous rule around treatment plan signature would allow them to begin with the first licensed signature.
Neo will now allow a treatment plan to begin at first signature, regardless of licensure. |
This will eliminate the possibility of any length of time not being covered under the treatment plan based on when the licensed signature is submitted. The plan can be active upon signature.
![]() The start date of the treatment plan will be the date of the first signature, however, it will not become active until the licensed staff signs it.
|
If the treatment plan is rejected and sent back to the original staff, the start date will be the date that the staff addresses the rejection issue(s) and signs again, NOT the original sign date. |
💡 Client Portal
First and foremost, you'll notice that the overall look of the Client Portal Status screen has been updated.

Outside of the improved appearance of this screen, the buttons and their functions will do the same as they have, with the Send Link button now offering more options. This button previously limited us to simply sending a link to the portal via email.
The update will still allow that as an option, but you will now have the option to text the link instead or both text and email simultaneously. Additionally, when choosing the second or third option, you will have the option of typing in any additional text that you want to include in the text/email.

💡Client Communications
You'll now see a View button beside each Client Communication log entry. Click View to view the log entry in its entirety.

Watch how to expand the text field box to view lengthier log entries.
💡 Conditionally Licensed Accepting More Insurances
Commonly, conditional licenses limit the clients those clinicians are permitted to accept based on the type of insurance the client holds. This update will provide those conditionally licensed clinicians to expand the clients they are permitted to see, to include insurances that traditionally only fully licensed clinicians could accept, by having a fully licensed clinician review/approve/sign the notes. |

Some insurance companies will not accept this scenario and will not cover a conditional license, even with a fully licensed approval signature. Be aware of those |
The process to complete and sign a note remains the same for the conditionally licensed staff. In these cases, Neo is now set up to automatically send those notes for approval/signature to a set list of fully licensed staff. Upon conditionally licensed staff signature of these notes, all of those fully licensed staff will simultaneously receive an alert listed in the Supervisor Signature Requested category, rather than any one person in particular.

*Once any of those fully licensed staff clicks the S(select) button for that alert, the alert will be removed from all other designated staff. In the occurrence of multiple staff attempting to review/sign at the same time, whoever Neo registers as “first” will be allowed to complete the process - anyone else will see the note open up as a read-only PDF - they won't see an option to approve/sign. |
