Timer sessions are perfect. When you want to be monitored for an expected amount of time like the length of your workday or a client session, or if you'll be entering an area where you might lose signal, this handsfree option allows you to be discretely monitored until you end the session, your timer runs out, or you hit the panic button more on the panic button later.

To start a timer session, open the alert media mobile app and navigate to the safety tab, click start session… select timer.

If at any time you need to shorten or extend your timer session, simply tap, change time, adjust the time you have left and confirm your personal code. You'll receive a text and e-mail reminder five minutes before your session ends and your phone will vibrate every 30 seconds. After that as an added reminder.

In the event that you lose cellular connectivity during an active timer session, our monitoring team will continue to keep an eye on your last known location until the timer runs out, at which point they will dispatch help to that location. If you return to connectivity and the timer hasn't run out yet, you will simply return to being monitored as usual until you either end the session or the timer runs out. We recommend calling the monitoring center. Once you return to connectivity to let them know that everything is okay to end your timer session, all you have to do is hit end timer session and confirm your personal code.
