    Adding a Retroactive DSM

When adding a DSM, if you select a retroactive date, you will be presented with two options that will then influence the existing DSM effective dates and/or eliminate an existing DSM.

Option One (select the date and leave the box below the date field unchecked)

This option will create a DSM with the chosen effective date, but end date it to align with the next existing DSM.

This option is to enter a DSM into a space between other existing DSMs.

See an example for option one

Option Two (select the date and check the box below the date field)

This option will create a DSM with the chosen effective date and an end date one year in the future.  This will also effectively replace any existing DSMs within that time frame or afterward.

This option is to enter a DSM beginning at a date in the past and overriding subsequent, existing DSM(s).

See an example for option two

    Option One

In this example, we are adding a DSM with an effective date of 08/01/2025 and not checking the box to designate a one-year end date.

    10/17/2025

    10/17/2026

    08/14/2025

    10/16/2025

    01/22/2025

    08/13/2025

This option will create a DSM with the chosen effective date, but end date it to align with the next existing DSM.

Adding a DSM with an 08/01/2025 start date, ended the DSM where that date exists, the day before (07/31/2025), and created the new DSM with the selected start date and an end just before the next DSM begins (08/13/2025).

    08/14/2025

    10/16/2025

    08/01/2025

    08/13/2025

    01/22/2025

    07/31/2025

Create a DSM by clicking Add New DSM or by clicking the C beside an existing DSM to copy it.

Once a past date is chosen, you'll be prompted to take action to specify how long this DSM should remain active.

In this example, we want the DSM to fill a span of time between existing DSMs, so we'll leave the box unchecked.

Once that new DSM is saved/signed the DSM/dates will shift accordingly.

    Option Two

In this example, we are adding a DSM with an effective date of 08/01/2025 and checking the box to designate a one-year end date for the DSM.

    09/19/2025

    09/19/2026

    10/03/2024

    09/18/2025

    10/05/2023

    10/02/2024

This option will create a DSM with the chosen effective date with an end date one year in the future.

Adding a DSM with an 08/01/2025 start date, ended the previous existing DSM one day before your selected start date (07/31/2025), added your new DSM, dated 08/01/2025 - 08/01/2026, and removed the DSM dated 09/19/2025 - 09/19/2026.

    08/01/2025

    08/01/2026

    10/03/2024

    07/31/2025

    10/05/2023

    10/02/2024

Create a DSM by clicking Add New DSM or by clicking the C beside an existing DSM to copy it.

Once a past date is chosen, you'll be prompted to take action to specify how long this DSM should remain active.

Check the box below the date field to give this DSM an end date one year after the selected effective date.

Once that new DSM is saved/signed, the DSM/dates will shift accordingly. The DSM that is no longer valid will appear with a strikethrough.
